Odessa College recently celebrated the conclusion of the 16th annual 30 for 30 Fitness Challenge by selecting the winners of the challenge prizes.
Winners were chosen in six categories: Winning School, Winning Team, OC Student Grand Prize Winner, Kids Grand Prize Winner, and the overall Grand Prize winner and two runner-ups. To qualify for the prizes, the participants had to successfully complete the challenge of meeting the requirement of at least 30 minutes of exercise activity or 8,000 steps daily for the 30 days of September. The participants also had to log their activities into their participant accounts on the OC app.
The winners and their prizes were as follows:
• Winning School: Presidio High School – Presidio ISD – $1,000 – proceeds go toward health and wellness programs
• Winning Team: FERPA Fiends – $1,000 CASH
• OC Student Grand Prize Winner – Lorina Lira – 2022 Apple MacBook Pro Laptop
• Kids Grand Prize Winner – Jocelyn Balderas – Virtual Reality Package
• Grand Prize:
o 2nd Runner-Up – Aerial Sifuentes – Staycation at Odessa Marriott plus $250 VISA Gift Card
o 1st Runner-Up – Greg Andis – $1,000 H-E-B Gift Card
o Grand Prize Winner – Lillybet Hicks – $3,000 Travel Vouchers via American Airlines and Marriott Hotels
